Director, IT Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures Business Partner Job Description Summary The role of the Director, Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures Business Partner is to lead and develop a team responsible for executing due diligence, analyzing and planning integration directions, as well as the delivery of Technology & Global Services (TGS/IT) solutions in support of BD mergers, acquisition, and divestiture activities. In addition, this individual will be tasked with directly leading some transactions while in parallel continuing to monitor, track, and guide the progress associated with the transactions the broader team is focused on. This individual will serve as a point person for BD Corporate Development and be responsible for resource planning and project assignments within the BD TGS/IT M&A Team. The BD TGS/IT M&A Team serves as a point person and will work with a team of business partners to conduct analysis, shape demand, prepare integration directions and deliver the work. Above all, this individual will be required to collaborate with internal and external experts to ensure that business priorities are shaped, prioritized, and delivered. In addition, this individual will be expected to evaluate continuous improvement opportunities as processes and technologies evolve. The role will drive integration of people, processes, and infrastructure & application technology projects. Responsibilities:
The objective of this role is to actively partner with the Corporate Strategy and Development organization on merger, acquisition, and divestiture activities representing the Technology & Global Services (IT) organization. In this role, the associate will lead a team focused on due diligence activities and integration or carve out initiatives. Primary responsibilities will include:
Develop a deep knowledge of the TGS MA&D integration and separation strategies including its impact to the deal model and business integration activities. Manage and team of associates and/or contractors focused on supporting BD's M&A activities representing the TGS/IT function Directly lead MA&D initiatives on behalf of TGS including diligence, integration, and separation activities Establish and earn value-adding, strategic partner relationship maturity for yourself and for the entire TGS function Partner with cross functional teams to plan joint integration/separation initiatives, evaluate proposals, and determine how they fit into roadmaps and priorities Work with other TGS business partner teams and external partner teams to define, document, analyze and prioritize existing and emerging business requirements Execute highly integrated, complex projects/improvements/deliverables needed to implement technology, processes or services to meet business requirements including the documentation, testing and implementation Manage and facilitate TGS' partner teams to ensure delivery provides the desired outcomes Work with other TGS Business Partners and TGS' Core Areas of Delivery to ensure that solutions are not siloed and that they are informed by, and are integrated with, BD's enterprise roadmaps Execute projects and report progress, including consistent and effective communication, change management impact analysis, readiness and effectiveness, cutover and go-live support. This includes managing escalation and mitigating risk Measure and communicate value realized on a periodic basis through defined and agreed upon metrics and supporting analysis Qualifications and
Experience:
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic understanding, both business and technology experience, exceptional relationship building skills and solution-oriented mindset together. They should also have experience leading IT MA&D (integration/separation) initiatives. In addition, this person should also possess:

years of experience in IT in the following area:
Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestiture Due Diligence through Integration with emphasis on integration of people, process and technology in an Information Technology function in addition to driving integration of applications and infrastructure for the enterprise 10
years of leading high performing teams (direct reports) focused on complex, high pressure initiatives Advanced proficiency in project management:
charter, business case development, project management plan and schedule, stakeholder management, communication planning, risk/issue management, status reporting and running team calls Advanced proficiency in system development life cycle documentation, testing and release cycle protocols including business requirements documentation, test scenarios/data/execution, cutover, hypercare, project planning and status reporting Ability to influence and break down silos within an organization as well across organizations Ability to map joint organizational vision and long-term thinking, imagination, and idea generation Ability to communicate complex business / technical challenges in a simplified manner Must be a leader who can influence stakeholders in written and oral communications Must have experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies and have the ability to formulate new programs to generate excitement and engagement Familiarity with continuous improvement and project management approaches, tools, and phases Exceptional ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods Highly collaborative work style which includes working effectively across all organizational levels Experience working in a highly matrixed organization and in overcoming ambiguity Leading by example, mentoring, and motivating others all around you Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities Excellent judgment and decision-making Able to align and work with diverse global stakeholders Strong humility, listening, creativity, and negotiation skills
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
HR Management, HR Generalists & Business PartnersEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
