We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager support one of our clients in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager-IT Category is responsible for managing a IT spend category, its suppliers, internal customers and sourcing strategy. The assigned spend category constitutes significant opportunity or risk, generally within a specific geographic region. The Strategic Sourcing Manager utilizes the strategic sourcing process to develop and implement a sourcing strategy for the assigned spend category.
Responsibilities
Include negotiation, contracting and ongoing supplier value management for continuous improvement. On an ongoing basis, the Strategic Sourcing Manager monitors, analyses and synthesizes changes to the internal business needs and external supply market drivers that can impact future business performance for the assigned spend category, and modifies the sourcing strategy accordingly. In some instances, the Strategic Sourcing Manager may manage or coordinate some global activities of a category of lesser spend.
Qualifications:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager-IT Category must demonstrate competencies in the following areas:
o A strategic sourcing process, with a history of process utilization
o Supplier value management and continuous improvement
o Cost management practices, with history of delivery against targets
o Negotiation
o Quantitative and financial analysis
o Supply market research and data analysis
o IT systems including the Microsoft Office Suite and an ERP system
o Management of cross functional teams and working in a highly matrixed environment
o Experience with sourcing API's and excipients
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED- The following competencies are preferred, but not necessarily required:
o Knowledge of contract creation and management
o Manufacturing and supply chain
o Project management
o FDA and European Pharmacia regulatory systems and compliance
o Familiarity with international suppliers and US agent relationships
o EXPERIENCE REQUIRED- A minimum of five to seven years
