Effectively communicates with other functions to maximize project impact and quality within the department, and ensures production equipment achieves budgeted production yields. Directs technical resources as available to resolve production problems.
Manage large scale projects as the Technical Molding leader using scientific molding methodologies to drive a systematic approach to process development.
Lead Molding Validation project activities from process development through validation into production using the molding validation toolkit.
Ability to handle multiple projects with effective organizational skills and ability to drive toward goals with excellent communication.
Be a leader, coach, team builder to the employees that interact with him/her. Builds networks and stakeholders in those non-direct reporting employees who support and enhance the continuous improvement of the manufacturing unit.
Leads and directs improvement plans for molding operation's teams. Will be responsible for the development of team members in mold, press, and auxiliary equipment improvements.
Teams with Mold Repair on scheduling, prioritization, and improvement implementation of molds and molding processes.
Prepares a plan for procurement of capital equipment, including obtaining of quotes, vendor investigation, budgeting, and scheduling. Prepares mold, press, and auxiliary equipment specifications, places orders, coordinates procurement, installs equipment, debugs and coordinates the startup of new or modified molds.
Become knowledgeable on regulatory policies and procedures, such as GMP, ISO, OSHA, EPA, etc, and comply.
Other duties as assigned.
Education requirements - Bachelor degree preferred - Plastics Engineering or related field preferred. Experience in Injection Molding environment and/or manufacturing.
