As a contract Pharmacist, youll be accountable for reviewing and interpreting information entered by Pharmacy Technicians to ensure that all prescriptions are accurate and complete. ROLES AND
Responsibilities:
Ensure all prescriptions are accurate and complete
Review drug-drug and drug-allergy interactions, as well as high dose prescriptions and resolve each situation
Communicate with doctor office and/or patient concerning drug interactions or allergy risks
Request affidavits from the physician under certain conditions (high or maximum dose)
May cancel orders, delete or change medications, or accept medications as written
Utilize clinical knowledge to review denied PAs prior authorizations to check that the denial was warranted
Override PAs when appropriate and review questionable Pas
Route prescriptions, when necessary, to the appropriate personnel to see that changes/corrections are made
Additional duties as assigned
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Hold Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.) degree from an accredited institution
Hold current, unrestricted Pharmacy license in the state of New Jersey

years of related work experience
Solid analytical, communication and organizational skills
