Summary:
The Director, Pharmacy Solutions (Medication Error Reduction) will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing a market development plan that will expand awareness of medication safety issues, establish BD as a thought-leader in medication safety and drive adoption of BD's solutions. S/he will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to create the desired market conditions through awareness building activities, policy and guideline-shaping initiatives and evidence generation. S/he will also facilitate integration and additional support/expertise/guidance for market development activities that might be pursued at a more targeted level within a platform (product family) within BD-Medical Surgical Systems.
Responsibilities:
o Accountable for development and execution of overarching market development plan to advance BD's objectives in addressing needs in medication safety
o Provide consultative support to relevant market development activities initiated and executed within platforms
o Coordinate and track market development work streams working collaboratively with functional leaders across the Company including HEOR, Medical Affairs, Public Policy and Government Relations/Reimbursement, and Public Relations.
o Establish, coordinate and manage relationships with relevant Key Opinion Leaders, working collaboratively with Medical Affairs
o Drive critical stakeholder organization and association engagement and partnerships including coalition activities necessary to increase issue awareness and advance market development goals
o Represent BD at patient and professional society meetings and forums, in conjunction with Medical Affairs
o Seek opportunities to collaborate with industry partners and organizations as appropriate to advance common market development objectives (such as awareness raising, reimbursement incentives and quality reporting)
o Maintain an overview of relevant policy trends and guidelines working collaboratively with BD's Public Policy and Medical Affairs teams.
o Track relevant competitor market development activities. Provide insight to shape the design and development of new products by integrating the perspectives of external stakeholders and unmet needs
o Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures, including the BD Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code and other relevant codes of ethical business practices
o Articulate a compelling vision and motivate teams to achieve individual and program objectives
o Intuitively and quickly assess people and situations and act accordingly
o Promote and leverage diversity to achieve best outcomes and an inclusive work environment. Ensure all interested parties have opportunities to influence and contribute to decisions and outcomes
o Work effectively and seamlessly across platform, function and business entities
Qualifications:
o Bachelors' Degree required in pharmacy sciences, nursing, marketing, public policy, public health, or other related field. Relevant graduate degree a strong plus
o At least several years of successful experience working in the field of medication dispensing, preparation in a life sciences company, provider, or pharmacy system working cross-functionally in a market-shaping role. Candidates with experience working for a related professional, trade or standards organization will also be considered
o At least three years of experience working with non-business stakeholders in shaping clinical practice policy, public policy or payment policy
o Strong customer focus

o Demonstrate leadership, learning agility and action orientation when facing uncertainty. Proven ability to instill confidence through leadership and actions

o Passion for commercializing early-stage opportunities and developing strategy
o Willingness to travel up to 50%

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
